The top of the table clash between Flying Scotsman and Ranby Rangers in Division One saw Flying Scotsman establish a 3-0 lead and at this time seemed to be well in control. Ranby reduced the arrears to 3-1 only for Scotsman score a fourth.
A refusal to accept defeat and have opened up a  three point gap. The two other leading contenders are Leverton United, who were without a game, and Friendship who were engaged in the Lincolnshire FA Sunday Cup. This looked to be a difficult looking away tie for Friendship against a leading Grantham league side Sleaford Legionnaires. As it turned out the game was virtually over after 10 minutes during which time Friendship scored four times. The final score was a very creditable 6-1 victory for Friendship and a Round Three tie due to be played on Sunday November 2.
Returning to Division One Vine Inn playing at home to M.U.S.C. made several changes to their team but failed to find a winning formula going down 5-1 to an impressive M.U.S.C. The other game in this division saw Bridon Sports score no fewer than 13 times without reply against an out of their depth Ship FC. It should be remembered however, that at the end of last season Ship defeated Bridon in the final of the Supplementary Competition so Bridon got their revenge in no uncertain terms.
Only two games were played in Division Two and both were high scoring. Friendship Old Boys continued with their recent excellent form and defeated a disorganised Hatfield Woodhouse WMC 8-0 whilst a fit Vine Inn Utd were too strong for Half Moon Willingham winning 9-2.
One of the highlights of the games played in Division Three was the four goals scored by Grove Mill’s Matt Theaker in their 7-4 victory over Leverton United Reserves. The same player also scored four in their Notts County Cup victory over RHP Sports and Social A last week. Very high scores were again evident as Gate Inn Sutton were 9-1 winners away to Blybrough United and Real Ropery  outclassed Rose and Crown 9-1.
Two unbeaten Division Four teams, AFC Peacock and Owston Ferry, met at the Castle Hills Ground with the Peacock team winning 5-0. This was another triumph for Steve Biddle who scored four of his sides goals bringing his tally to 14 in last four games. Peacock’s fifth goal came from Daniel Green. A key game was played at Elkesley where the home team narrowly defeated Friendship Over 35’s 3-2. This was an important victory for Elkesley as they forgot about the disappointment at losing to Kings Arms Reserves last week. Ship Inn United were good value for their 7-2 victory away to AFC Epworth with Ship’s Adam Scott having an outstanding game. Unfortunately for bottom club Mowbray Arms they found Cross Keys Wroot in goal scoring form and conceded another eight goals whilst Kings Arms Reserves moved into  the top three with a 5-2 away win over Ingleby Arms Martin.
In addition to Friendship reaching Round Three of the Lincolnshire Sunday Cup, White Hart United also reached this stage by defeating Lincoln league team Crows Athletic 5-2.
