Team news in a second. Anyone out there following the Trinity this season? How do you think they will fair? |

I've spotted someone wearing a Cardiff polo shirt in the crowd. Alan Buckley is just in front of me and the injured Grimsby players are off to my right. Trinity don't have any injuries, they Steve Blatherwick wouldn't allow such a thing. And three minutes in we have a . 1-0 to Grimsby, Peter Till 20-yard effort. |

Chris Hall had used his trickery to break into the box, bamboozling the Grimsby right-back. He pulled the ball back to Lewis McMahon, who in turn laid it off to Liam Needham whose low shot forced Phil Barnes into a good save. |

Mariners: Barnes, Stockdale, Newey, Hunt, Fenton, Hope, Till, Hegarty, Butler, Llewelyn, Clarke. Possession is pretty even so far. |

His ability has caused all sorts of problems, linking up well with Martin Drury. Martin Marrison has just been hacked down just past the half-way line for his troubles. Alan Buckley's side haven't been afraid to lump it so far, not so much of the 'crab' football that he was renowned for at Sincil Bank. Marrison was down for a long while and the Trinity physio, but he's back up and running on the pitch, with a good smattering of applause in the proccess. |

Sollitt then had to come to the rescue for Trinity, as he pulled of a superb save to tip Heggarty's looping effort over the bar. |

Their passing has been a bit sloppy, much like Trinity's. If I'm not back before kick-off that's because of the length of the line at the tea-bar. |

For those who care, Grimsby didn't really impress much, and it was only two mistakes from Trinity that allowed them to score. They were in no way as good as Chesterfield on Saturday, and neither was the game. Assistant player manager Dave Reeves had some interesting things to say after the game and you can read those comments, along with all the other pre-season friendlies that were happening tonight in tomorrow's Echo. |
